Harvest Image Description

History

A Harvard Square treasure since the 1970's, Harvest has been a fertile training ground for some of the country’s most celebrated chefs. Our illustrious alumni include Lydia Shire, Chris Schlesinger, Barbara Lynch, Frank McClelland, Sara Moulton, Bob Kinkead and Scott Bryan. Harvest burst back onto the culinary scene with a revitalized team in 1998 under the new ownership of respected restaurateur and real estate developer Kenneth Himmel (Grill 23 & Bar, Boston / Time Warner Center, New York).

Harvest has been lauded for its New England Cuisine locally and nationally by the Zagat Survey and others. Additional awards from Boston Magazine and The Improper Bostonian have included Best Guaranteed Great Meal In Cambridge, Best Outdoor Dining, and Best Sunday Brunch. Noted by Travel & Leisure as a Harvard Square classic, Harvest does not rest on its laurels as Harvard Square’s culinary landmark.

Our Company
Himmel Hospitality Group owns and operates two of Boston's premier restaurants. We are dedicated to consistently delivering a world-class experience including the highest quality food and service. While not a chain (each of our restaurants operates independently), we work to share the wealth of knowledge and expertise that comes from all managers and employees in our group, to help us give the best overall experience to our guests.
